History

Pan Tech Engineering Corporation was founded in Houston, Texas in 1959 as a manufacturer's representative for industrial instrumentation covering the Texas Gulf Coast region. In keeping with the nature of our territory, Pan Tech began by serving the industrial markets of petrochemical, oil refining and production end users, as well as the related engineering contractors who specialize in these fields.

With success in the Houston, Beaumont and Corpus Christi industrial corridor came expansion in the early 1970's to include sales offices throughout the southern half of Texas. With growth came the need for an improved work space and in 1983 Pan Tech moved from what was then becoming a congested inner city location to a new facility in the Houston suburb of Sugar Land. This facility; designed to our specifications, with office, conference, warehouse and shop areas optimized to facilitate the sales effort remains as Pan Tech's corporate offices to this day.

At the behest of key principals, Pan Tech expanded into the Louisiana market place in 1991 with the establishment of an office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana as a base of operations.
From this location we service Louisiana, as well as, portions of Arkansas and Mississippi.

As customer needs have evolved, and as a hedge against cyclical market fluctuations, our product mix has diversified into three major areas: Process Instrumentation, Process and Emissions Analyzers and Critical Back-up Power Protection Systems. To insure that we maintain sufficient in-house expertise to address most application considerations, we have assigned product manager responsibilities to specific individuals as a first line technical resource for the outside sales force. As a Product Manager, these individuals are tasked not only with educating themselves beyond the norm on specific manufacturers and their product offerings but also to serve as primary liaison with the factory for event scheduling and sales reporting.

As the Gulf Coast region continues to be a key global center for upstream production, petrochemicals, refining, process engineering, oil and gas transmission, electrical power generation and paper manufacturing we will leverage both our market contacts and technical acumen to increase market share in new and expanding opportunities within these industries while serving the needs of our existing customer base.
